Terz - the incredible AutoTagger

Introduction

Terz is a fully automated Audio File Tagger and File Renamer. Based on the information provided by Musicbrainz Terz uses a algorithm to choose the right track. Currently only mp3 files are supported, but this will change in future. It also creates an overview of your music collection so you can see which Tracks are missing in your collection, which are probably broken and which are duplicates (planned).

Features

How it Works (CVS)

After Terz finished gathering data from MusicBrainz, it calculates a Relevance for each album. Then it tries to assign files to each track of each album, starting with the album with the highest relevance. If Terz doesn't find a file for every track, it starts searching in the neighbourhood. This means it looks at files that are probably going to be assigned to an album with a similar name or artist and looks weather they fit in the gap. It also searches among the files located in the directory where the most files, assigned to the album, come from.
